If a User includes patient data, that data will be processed by Sendgrid. It's important to distinguish between the content of an email and information about that email such as the address. Although the content of the email may contain patient data, if the doctor chooses to include it, this data is never stored by Sendgrid and is always encrypted. Metadata is also stored within Sendgrid.

Contents of video calls are only stored on a transient basis. When users record a call, they download it and are responsible for storage locally. Chat messages are not stored permanently – they pass through Whereby’s servers temporarily and are deleted from the server as soon as they’ve been delivered to the participant’s device. Messages stored locally are deleted when a participant leaves the meeting room. Customers using the API can disable chat entirely.
