Dr Matt Balerdi, Consultant Imaging Cardiologist, Spire Hull & East Riding Hospital

Dr Matt Balerdi is a Consultant Imaging Cardiologist specialising in echocardiography, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology. 

He serves as Secretary of the British Nuclear Cardiac Society, contributing at a national level to the advancement of nuclear cardiology practice.

Matt has strong clinical links across Hull region, where he has worked to enhance services for patients with congenital heart disease, inherited cardiac conditions and heart valve disease, helping to drive measurable improvements in patient care pathways.

He believes the cornerstone of excellent care is communication. By understanding how patients perceive their condition, he works collaboratively to develop treatment plans focused on progress and clarity, ensuring patients feel informed and supported at every stage of their journey.
