We're delighted to share that Semble has once again been named on TIME's World's Top HealthTech Companies list, in the ‘Health Information and Management’ category. This is the second year running we've made the cut, a milestone that means even more the second time around.
Compiled by TIME in partnership with Statista, the list recognises 500 organisations worldwide that are pushing healthcare forward through technology, evaluated on financial performance, reputation and online engagement.
A year of growth, and impact that keeps compounding
Being named to this list once could be a moment. Being named twice is a trend, and it reflects the pace at which Semble and the clinics and practices we work with have grown over the past year.
Today, over 18,000 healthcare professionals across 80 specialties rely on Semble to run their day-to-day operations. Together, they've cared for 10 million patients – that’s around 1 in 6 people in the UK. Numbers like these are a reminder that behind every login, every patient record and every booked appointment is a real person receiving care and a clinician ready to give them their full attention.
What that impact looks like in practice
Recognition is meaningful, but the real story is in how our customers are using Semble to change the way care is delivered.
Take Dr Oscar Duke, founder of The Duke Practice, a bespoke private GP service in London built on the belief that the best care happens when a doctor truly knows their patient.
Because Semble takes care of his admin, it gives Dr Duke the time to cultivate that all-important relationship with his patients: “Time back always means that I can give more time to patients. That's why I became a doctor.”
For Dr Duke, having tech that grows with his practice is important to how he runs his practice:
“Patients expect you and the patient experience you're providing to be able to evolve as technology evolves,” explains Dr Duke. “It gives them that reassurance that you're taking the lead on cutting-edge technologies.”
Then there's 2Me Clinic, a hybrid hub for women's health founded by Dr Uchenna Amaechi and Dr Anne Gauthey-Sebert to close the care gap women often face in traditional healthcare. Their model depends on continuity, time and joined-up teams:
“Semble felt aligned with what we were doing as a clinic,” says Dr Amaechi. “It allows us to do what we were trained to do as clinicians. It simplifies the patient journey.”
These are just two examples of the thousands of practices and clinics who trust Semble to help them focus less on admin and more on the patients in front of them, allowing them to amplify their impact.
Building for what's next
This recognition belongs to our team, our partners and, most of all, our customers, whose trust and feedback shape everything we build.
“Being recognised by TIME as one of the World's Top HealthTech Companies for the second year running means a lot to me,” says Semble's CEO and Co-founder, Christoph Lippuner, of the achievement. “The first recognition was a great milestone. Being recognised again is a reflection of consistency, and of a team that keeps pushing forward. Thank you to everyone at Semble for the energy, resilience and hard work that got us here.”
The healthtech sector isn't slowing down, and neither are we. We'll keep building technology that makes care simpler, smarter and more human, for the healthcare professionals who deliver it and the patients who depend on it. Here's to the next year of raising the bar in healthcare.
